The Shoppes At Wedgewood Is Filling In Around A Weekday Schedule

The Target at 10560 Sawmill Parkway once stood on its own, with a 475-space parking lot and a vacant 6.1-acre parcel beside it. That parcel is now The Shoppes at Wedgewood, a single-story, 43,000-square-foot retail strip with more than 300 parking spaces of its own. The project was led by two Central Ohio companies, Saberi Development and Transform Construction, according to NBC4's first report on the project.

The biggest lease in the first wave tells you most of what this center is for. Tierra Encantada, a Spanish-immersion child care center, took 11,365 square feet. That is roughly a quarter of the building, and more than six times the 1,815 square feet leased to Zaytoon Mediterranean Grill, according to 1808Delaware's August 2025 tenant rundown. Every tenant announced since then fits around the hours before and after work: drop-off, a quick lunch, a workout, a kids' play session, a meal you take home.

What's open, and what the storefront signs promise

The building went up over about a year. Construction started in summer 2025 and finished sometime in 2026, NBC4 reported in September. Tenants are opening one by one. Here is where things stand as of mid-October 2026:

  1. June 2026: Tierra Encantada and Zaytoon Mediterranean Grill. These were the center's first two openings. Zaytoon owner Mahmoud Jallaq told WhatNow Columbus that the Powell menu would keep the company's bowl format: rice, hummus and fries, and pita bowls, along with salads and sides.
  2. Sept. 12, 2026: Project LeanNation, Suite 103. This is the second Central Ohio store for operators Brock and Nicole Meadows, who opened the first one at 2117 Polaris Parkway in 2024.
  3. Announced for fall 2026: Tous les Jours, Suite 102. The bakery-cafe announced its Powell location in a June 28 Facebook post, NBC4 reported. No opening day has been confirmed.
  4. "Opening Fall 2026": Kidz Station and forME Lagree. Both businesses' own websites still say this, without a date.
  5. December 2026: Third Place Fitness Club. Its website lists a December grand opening.
  6. Not yet named: a nail studio and a med spa. NBC4 still described both as expected openings in September.

So the center will not look finished until at least December. Even then, the nail studio and med spa were still unnamed as of NBC4's September report.

The 2025 wish list mostly came true

When half of the units were leased in August 2025, 1808Delaware listed the concepts in talks for the remaining space. Set that list next to the 2026 roster and most of it lines up:

Use under discussion, August 2025 Tenant named by fall 2026 Status as of Oct. 12, 2026
Meal-prep business Project LeanNation Opened Sept. 12
Cafe-bakery Tous les Jours Announced for fall
Pilates or yoga studio forME Lagree Site says fall 2026
International grocery None announced No tenant reported
Medical office None announced No tenant reported

The parts of the plan that serve a daily routine got filled. The two larger uses have not been, at least not publicly. Some names also changed along the way. The 2025 list included Kidz Zone, Sweetly Bronzed and Nails of New Albany operating under a new name. NBC4's September 2026 list has Kidz Station, an unnamed nail studio and a med spa instead. No public report explains what changed between the two lists. The categories held steady, though: kids' recreation, nails and personal care made both.

What the weekday stop costs, tenant by tenant

The posted prices show who each business is aiming at.

Kidz Station describes an indoor playground with a toddler zone, multilevel climbing and imaginative-play areas. Its site lists a two-hour pass at $16, $12 for each additional sibling, and required grip socks at $3.50. That is pricing for a rainy afternoon or a long stretch between school pickup and dinner, not a once-a-year party venue.

forME Lagree offers 50-minute, low-impact, high-intensity classes on Megaformer machines. The studio has ten machines and is owned by Sarah Clifton, according to its site. With ten machines, a full class is ten people.

Third Place Fitness Club is the largest of the incoming tenants. It describes a 12,000-square-foot club with a weight and cardio gym, two private and two group recovery rooms with sauna, cold plunge and red light, and a lounge with a fuel bar. Memberships listed on its site run from $59 to $250 a month.

Project LeanNation sells chef-prepared meals that are made at a facility in Rochester, New York, then vacuum-sealed, frozen and shipped to stores. Most heat up in three to five minutes. Menu examples include a southwest queso bowl and spicy peach chicken wing bites. Anyone can buy at the counter without a membership. Brock Meadows described the gap he and Nicole are trying to fill in an interview with NBC4:

"There are a lot of people who know they want to eat better and feel better, but between work, family, activities and everything else life brings, staying consistent can be the hardest part."

He also told NBC4 the goal is for the store to become "a genuine part of the Powell and Dublin communities." The mention of Dublin reflects where this corridor sits. It draws from both directions along Sawmill.

Tous les Jours will round out the morning and afternoon. NBC4's report lists breads, cakes, sandwiches, pastries, donuts and drinks, with examples such as a matcha cloud cake, a tuna-melt baguette and an iced tiramisu latte.

Where it sits on the Sawmill corridor

The 2024 leasing listing pitched the site as part of a "desired shopping corridor" next to Skyline Chili, Taco Bell, Tire Discounters and WesBanco. 1808Delaware added Blue Sky Carwash to that cluster and placed the site in one of Liberty Township's busiest corridors, even though its mailing address is Powell. The surrounding businesses already cover car washes, tires, banking and fast food. The new building adds the things that block didn't have yet.

Quick dinners have spread up and down Sawmill rather than piling into this one building. CAVA opened at 9711 Sawmill Parkway in Liberty Crossing on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2026, according to Hoodline. Its neighbors there include Five Guys and Dirty Dough, per NBC4. CAVA's location page lists dine-in, pickup and delivery, open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Off the parkway, a 7 Brew drive-thru was announced for 4087 W. Powell Road with an anticipated opening of Sept. 21. We could not confirm whether it has opened.

Downtown is getting parking and a fall calendar

Downtown Powell's 2026 changes look different. Its new restaurant this year was CoccoKay Bites at 170 W. Olentangy St., which Columbus Underground reported would open June 10. Most of the city's downtown work has gone into parking. A September 2026 City of Powell release describes an approved agreement to add about 50 public spaces at 59 E. Olentangy St. once the property owner finishes its upgrades. It also describes a planned Scioto Street Extension, from Liberty Street to Grace Drive, expected to add about 130 more spaces. The Village Green master plan is still in public engagement, with another round expected this fall.

Downtown is also where the fall and holiday events are:

  • Powelloween, Oct. 24–25. The downtown business trick-or-treat runs Saturday, Oct. 24, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a children's storytime, per Visit Powell. The City's Candy by the Carload is Sunday, Oct. 25, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Adventure Park.
  • Veterans Day Ceremony, Tuesday, Nov. 10, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 47 Hall St. Free.
  • Pink Friday Sip and Shop, Friday, Nov. 20, from 4 to 7 p.m. downtown.
  • Holidays in Powell, Saturday, Dec. 5, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Village Green Park. The tree lighting is at 6 p.m., and there will be an iceless rink, a bonfire with s'mores, Santa photos and performances, per the City's event page.

Third Place Fitness Club plans its grand opening in December, the same month as Holidays in Powell.

New neighbors like these become part of what a Powell address offers. Child care, a fitness club and a bakery within walking or short driving distance of a home are worth weighing when you think about a property's value.
