Emily has strong community ties as one the very best and few Spanish-speaking real estate professionals in Central Ohio! She even launched the Ohio chapter of NAHREP, the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals. Her work assembled Spanish-speaking real estate agents, lenders, insurers, and title agents throughout the state of Ohio. She eventually would go on to host and lead the Columbus chapter of LULAC, The League of United Latin American Citizens which is the largest and oldest Latin-American civil rights organization in the United States.
She has also hosted and helped launch the Grove City Police Citizens Academy which is a volunteer group to support local law enforcement. Emily would later be recruited by the Federal Bureau of Investigations Citizens Academy to aid in bilingual responses to national emergencies. Emily was acknowledged by the Special Agent in Charge of the Cincinnati division for her firearms response to an active shooter situation. She has also volunteered with the Franklin County Emergency Management and Homeland Security of Ohio.
During the housing crisis, Emily was able to adapt to change by securing government contracts, thus authorizing her to represent bank-owned assets. She became a Certified Distressed Property Expert. Emily did it all! She helped distressed homeowners facing pre-foreclosures to stay in their homes and guided others through short sales. Emily also helped many investors build their portfolios with both short and long positions. In the Short term, rehabbing homes for new families. In the Long term, creating affordable housing through reputable rentals.
All her hard work would yield much more change. In 2011, Emily became the franchise owner of a major international real estate brand. She took a beloved branch, moved office locations, and grew it into the largest RE/MAX franchise in Grove City.
In 2018, new opportunities came about after she represented the acquisition of an industrial retail shopping center. She decided to diversify and completely renovate two units of the shopping center into a beloved restaurant and bar. It was the only Honduran restaurant in Ohio. Patrons from other states would visit just to enjoy the taste of home. Eventually, Emily was able to facilitate the sale of this venture right before the pandemic.
Again, real estate changed in 2020. She adapted to the housing shortage and high competitiveness by focusing on her roots. Emily has helped countless families achieve the great American Dream of Homeownership! Today, she handles a private book of business based on direct referrals and generational clients.
